We made tee times for 2:00pm today and actually got off early. Here's the catch - at 5:20pm they started the giant spinklers on the 15th, 16th, and 17th greens and sent the Ranger out to inform everyone that we had to return our carts to the clubhouse. We asked the Ranger to call the clubhouse and turn off the water so we could finish our round and he allegedly spoke with the superintendent with negative results. The water stayed on and the Ranger came back two times to inform us that we had to return the carts by 5:45pm. We couldn't even finish 18 and were essentially chased off the course with daylight still left to play our last hole. What a rip off!!! My friends told me that the same thing happened to his foursome two weeks ago. We were never informed about this "unofficial" closing time and have never experienced it on any other courses I have played in the area. Apparently, the course may be under new ownership and management but they still don't know how to treat their customers. I will tell everyone about this bad experience and encourage them to go anywhere but River Club!!! Add as favourites (4) |  Quote this article on your site | Views: 183
